I love Megaman, and I don't hate any particular part of it's universe. Because some of us are tired of hearing "They changed it now it sucks." or on the far rarer side, "They changed it and it doesn't suck anymore."

I like all the canon series, but I find Battle Network and Star Force to be underwhelming.

I hate it when people say "U just like Megaman beacuse of Zero" NO NO NO!
I like it beacuse I grew up with it
also I find Crashman much more attractive than Zero

I've always enjoyed the original Megaman. I even enjoy the Battle Network series. But in all honesty... I'm not going to lie, the whole "Humans VS Animals" motif they went with in Megaman X and Megaman Zero is a huge turn-off for me. I know it's fictional and it's not supposed to be taken seriously, but it still kind of dampers the enjoyment for me. ...Different strokes for different folks, I guess. They're not bad games, I just kind of wish the games would have put less emphasis on "Animals are evil" motif by putting at least SOME non evil animal robots like a Rush or something. Instead, not only are all the robot masters animals, but the badguys also use vehicles and pets shaped like animals. The goodguys ONLY have humans, which nothing wrong with that if the game didn't give me the vibe that humans are the ultimate good and that all non-humans are vicious evil creatures designed to kill. ...They kind of did have a few animal buddies in Megaman Zero if you count the cyber elves, but the same "Humans VS Animals" motif stayed.

...So yeah, that's my two cents on Megaman X and Megaman Zero. There not bad games, but the story and theme of the games kind of remove some of the enjoyment factor for me. I will say Megaman X and Megaman Zero have some kick-ass music though.

(I have NOT played any Megaman Legends, ZX, or Star Force game yet so I can not give any opinions on those games.)

To be fair, most of the animal based reploids were good at one point, and the final bosses are always humanoids.

In Megaman ZX, there are a large number of animal based bosses. However, they were both created by and are commanded by humanoids. In Megaman ZX Advent there are more humanoid bosses, and you can even play in the form of the animal based bosses, but there are still plenty of animal based bosses present.

I think they just do it because they think animals are really cool. :P

I honestly haven't been able to play Legends either though. :P

That does interest me in buying ZX Advent, but there's one question: Can you actually PLAY as the Pseudoroids or just summon them, or do you only get armor fashioned after them. I have read on Wikipedia you can play as them but some of the Psuedoroids I can't imagine being able to play as, the popular one: Chronoforce, is like a giant 6-legged creature with an icy tail, something I just don't see how you're supposed to be able to play as.

Your character literally shape shifts into bosses you beat. Some of them have very restricted movement capabilities. Chronoforce can only swim, for instance, though he can stay still and use his powers on land. However, many of them have specialized movement abilities that your normal form just doesn't. Higher jumping, ability to break through stuff. Some are smaller or bigger or can climb or whatever. There's like, 15 different forms, so.
